WELCOME

Are you looking for a violin teacher for yourself or your child? Have you always wanted to learn but thought it might be too challenging or too late? I whole-heartedly believe that anyone can learn with patience, a positive supportive environment, and a willingness to try. It is my personal goal to help push my students to grow more than they thought capable while fostering a love and joy for music.

ABOUT ME

After pursuing the violin for 26 years, I can’t imagine any job more fulfilling than passing on a love and understanding of this instrument to my students. I am a Suzuki trained instructor specializing in beginning student education for both children and adults.

Having been trained in the Suzuki method myself since the age of six, I am a firm believer in its ability to create not only masterful musicians, but also people with the self-discipline and positive determination to accomplish anything they set their minds to.

I have performance experience as a solo artist and as a member of several orchestras, quartets, bands and pit orchestras in music ranging from Classical to Contemporary including sub genres of Fiddling, Celtic, Broadway Musical, Jazz Improvisation & Pop.

ABOUT MY STUDIO

I teach out of my home studio in Moscow, Idaho. Studio students attend weekly private lessons and a monthly group class. They are given performance opportunities at least twice a year. Lessons are tailored to each individual based on personal goals, skills and musical experience.

Technique is introduced primarily through the Suzuki classical repertoire, but lessons are supplemented with additional selections according to interest and skill. I also include fundamentals of music theory and improvisation in both private and group lessons.
